In 2021, Rooney has joined Red Street Record’s publishing company as a writer and currently writes and produces for both label and independent artists.

In previous years, Kevin spent the majority of his time as a touring drummer and auxiliary musician with Rascal Flatts, Russell Dickerson, Sarah Reeves, and others.
